How to Deal with Constantly Feeling Overwhelmed

If you have been feeling a little extra stressed out recently, you are not alone. Roughly 7 in 10 American adults say stress is taking a real toll on their health. 33% say they are completely overwhelmed most days. This is according to a survey from the American Psychological Association.

For a lot of people, feeling overwhelmed can be debilitating. That’s why experts say it’s really important to take time to cope with these issues.

Clinical and family psychologist, Dr. Jennifer Hartstein of Hartstein Psychologist Services, joins NBC News Now to discuss some of the causes of feeling overwhelm and how to deal with coping with these stressors.
