A new national survey was just released by Girl Scouts of the USA that looks at how girls are using the internet and interacting with screens.
According to the survey, 41% of girls ages 5-13 would rather skip vacation over the summer than go somewhere that had no internet. And, 46% say they feel pressure to be online, even if they’re not enjoying it.
Clinical psychologist Dr. Jen Hartstein of Hartstein Psychological Services joins NBC News to discuss why young girls feel the pressure to be constantly plugged in and some warning signs to watch out for if they are spending too much time on their phones.
